Abscess

In October 2009, Abscess descended upon the famous Fantasy Studios, CA, to record the follow-up to their 2007 Tyrant Syndicate album, ‘Horrorhammer’, with experienced engineer Adam Munoz helping to produce this latest spawn.

‘Dawn of Inhumanity’ is an unrivalled nightmare of raw experimental extremity. Including special guest vocal appearances by the Darkthrone duo, this is twisted, dirty punk death without limits!

Biography

Abscess hail from Oakland California and started life in 1994 with their very own brand of 'Sickodelic Gore Metal'. Chris Reifert & Danny Coralles are both founder members of late 80's/early 90's gore metal band Autopsy & formed Abscess after their main band split in the mid 90's . Chris also started his career in the 80's with the highly influential extreme metal band 'Death'
The first commercial offering from Abscess was a collection of their early demos, released as the album 'Urine Junkies' on Relapse Records in 1995. After several releases, in 2002 Abscess signed to Peaceville Records and recorded the album 'Through The Cracks Of Death' at Different Fur Recording Studios in San Francisco, where they recorded the seminal Autopsy album 'Mental Funeral' in 1990. The band later signed with Darkthrone's Peaceville sub-label, Tyrant Syndicate Productions, with the band themselves being long-term fans of Abscess & also Autopsy.
In October 2009 Abscess descended upon the famous Fantasy Studios, CA (Testament, Aerosmith, The White Stripes, Journey) to record the follow-up to their 2007 Tyrant Syndicate debut, 'Horrorhammer' with experienced engineer Adam Munoz who worked with acts such as Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, & The Cranberries. This was titled 'Dawn of inhumanity', featured cover artwork by Chris Reifert himself, & although a career highlight in twisted psychedelic punk death metal, was to be the band's final album before disbanding, due to the impending return of Autopsy, & the departure of core member Clint Bower.
